With Hummer sales down in USA, Australia is proving the opposite. March has seen the highest sales record in 12 months and the land down under is now the fourth largest market for H3′s in the world! Go figure?

GM

GM is getting ready to split the company in half and then file for Bankruptcy. Brands such as Hummer and Saturn will be parcelled as bad dept and the good eggs such as Caddillac and Chevrolet will strive on as GM key brands. The new GM CEO, Fritz Henderson hopes to spare GM from this path but it just may be ineviteable.

2011 Grand Cherokee

Ok, the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee has been revealed and first impressions are good. Not only have jeep pumped out the body to be more muscular but has also included cool niceties such as air lift suspension! Now that’s mad, durin the week you can be cruising the streets in your tuff low rider Jeep and on the weekend jack it up with a press of a button and head for the boulders. Jeep have also upgraded their normally drab interior to look somewhat upmarket. Finally Jeep may have made the perfect Grand Cherokee.

Tesla Model S

Well the much hypes Tesla Model S has been revealed and production has been scheduled for 2011. With the price of car expected to be only US$10,000 more than the GM Volt, it will sell in huge volumes to all enviro and perfomance buyers. The new Tesla has a range of 480km, can seat 5 adults and interestingly two kids in smaller seats in the rear hatch. Performance is up there to, 0-100kmh in 5.6 seconds. And to keep all corners of the globe  happy, it will be available in right hand drive.

Virgin

Richo Branson has revealed that Virgin will be a major sponsor of the Brawn F1 team and the squeeky clean white cars will be plastered with Virgin Branding very soon, hopefully before the next race as the cars look rather boring!

Brawn GP

Brawn GP have taken 1st and 2nd on the podium at the Melbourne, Australian Grand Prix. Jenson Button crossed the line around a second ahead of Rubens Barrichello to give the new team a boost of confidence for the season. Let’s hope the whole season continues to be as exciting as this race was!

Tata Nano

I know what your thinking, what an ugly shit box! Well, you are right, welcome to the ugliest car since the BMW Isetta. But hey, with an impoverished nation such as Inda, this vehicle is just the ticket. For under US$2000 the car will be available to families of India and gone will be the days of loading the family of 6 onto the scooter for a day out. Tata will become an extremely wealthy company from this vehicle and the 623cc 2 cylinder motor will further force the so called global warming!

Ex F1 driver Damon Hill took a reporter along for a drive in a Mecedes AMG SL55. Damon didn’t push the beast way to hard but the auto reporter ended up puking his guts up, straight out the passenger window adding new style by way of GT stripes down the side of the Merc. Perhaps the reporter should stick to econoboxes where he will have no chance of puking, unless he has a bad curry!

Tesla S

Tesla has revealed the base price of the soon to be released Model S will be US$57,400. Deduct the US Federal Government $7500 rebate and there is your US$49,900 Tesla. Not bad considering the Volt’s projected price is around $40,000 and the Fisker Karma is $87,900 and beyond. By the looks of it the Tesla S is looking to be quite a hot looking sedan too!

Camaro SS

It’s official, Camaro laps the Nurburgring in 8min 19sec. Goes 0-100kmh in 4.7sec! Will be available as a Bumblebee Package & drinks 16MPG City & 24MPG Highway for the V8 SS. Lastly, the beast has a top speed of 155MPH! We haven’t included the V6 stats because we don’t give a damn. The Camaro is a Muscle car, not a sewing machine!
